When Bill Morris saw a dog that looked like it was minutes away from death, he knew no dog should be left in such cruel conditions – in a hot sweltering car, alone.
It all started when Morris on his way to purchase a new vacuum when he comes across the dog, Yorkie. Morris stopped to take a better look at Yorkie. He called the police, but he was put on hold for a long time.

That was when he knew that this is a matter of life and death, so he couldn’t wait for the police to arrive.

Yorkie looked distressed, heavily panting with its eyes closed. Many people were standing nearby, but no one was doing anything. But Morris is not like any other.
Morris grabbed an axe from his car and used it to break the window in a quick rescue, while someone else stayed on the line with the police. Morris hit the window of the car eight times before it finally shattered. He made sure to hit the front window while the dog was in the back seat so the glass wouldn’t hit the dog.
Luckily, Yorkie is still alive. So when the police arrive, they rushed Yorkie to the vet to further assess his health.

The dog had been in the car for at least 45 minutes and in desperate need of a haircut, which likely made him hotter.

Soon after, the owner of the car returned with her young daughter, looking shocked but not at all emotional over the dog. Morris asked her if she would leave her child in a car for an hour and she said no. The woman then proceeded to say she was sorry and she didn’t know what she was thinking.
Both Morris and the owner didn’t seem to receive any charges. But people are praising Morris for his quick thinking and said they would buy him thank you gifts.
What would you do in a situation like this one?
