When thinking about an ideal man, people might be thinking that women are looking for a guy with a prominent jawline or chiseled figure with six-pack abs. But according to Independent, a survey revealed that’s not the case.
Just a few days after Father’s day, we have good news to not only dads but men with ‘Dad bod’ too. According to the Planet Fitness study, Americans’ love for ‘Dad bod’ continues to rise in 2019.
With 61 percent of women agree that the less toned male physique is a lot ‘sexier’, they prefer this kind of bodies over a six-pack.
While men might think that toned body exudes confidence, women think otherwise. This is supported by 4 out of 5 women that believe a ‘Dad bod’ is indeed a sign of a man who is confident in his own skin.
Not only that, but 47 percent of men also said that this type of body made them less concerned with their appearance. The men themselves admitted that having a ‘Dad bod’ or the not so toned bodies has made them more relaxed and happier in life.
In other words, this kind of body somehow improved their life in some way.
“As home of the Judgement Free Zone, we’re proud to offer a comfortable environment for all of our members, regardless of body type. This Father’s Day, Planet Fitness is challenging everyone, and not just dads, to be comfortable in their own skin and accept others for who they are,” told the Vice President of Marketing at Planet Fitness, Jamie Medeiros.
So if you have a dad bod, be confident with yourself and remember that in 2019, the dad bod is the new trend!
