Brantly Harrison and her family saved a tiny 4-week-old squirrel from being attacked by an owl. When Harrison rescued the squirrel, it suffered from a serious injury so she decided to take the baby squirrel home with her in Greenville County, South Carolina and named her Bella. There, Harrison took care of the baby squirrel alongside three other squirrels, Larry, Curly and Moe.

Bella was fed with fruits and nuts and was given top care until she completely healed and ready to live back in the wild. The Harrisons then released Bella in summer in 2010 but little did they knew that they would meet Bella again.

The squirrel never strayed too far from the Harrison’s house and will always stop by to say hello whenever she can.

It has been eight years since Bella regularly waits right at the front door or jumping over to the dining room window until one of the family members notices her.

“Bella sits right at the front door waiting for someone to notice she has come by for a visit. She has even resorted to jumping over to the dining room window to peer in for someone to see her,” Brantley told The Dodo in an interview.

Her frequent visits have made her a big part of the Harrisons family and it loves to spend her time with them.

One day, Bella came to the house pregnant and with an injured foot which required her to stay with the family just like a few years ago when she was a baby. She stayed with the family until her foot healed and gave birth to her babies.

“It was truly amazing to watch the baby I raised raise her own babies,” Brantley said.

Three adorable little babies that Bella gave birth to.

Bella even has her own Instagram account where the Harrisons documented her daily adventures and update to her followers!

She also gets along very well with CID, one of the dogs that the Harrisons adopted as pets!

We are truly touched by the close bond that Bella has with her human family! She never forgets to be thankful to Harrison even though it has been years since they treated her. What an adorable sight!
