Her management made the shocking announcement on her official Instagram page, which said the funds, which she was awarded by her managing company and several sponsors, had been donated towards a good cause.

“She’s decided to donate 100% of her prize for social activites. She wants to complete her promise with her village to provide scholarships for poor students and complete her social project Room to Read (build more libraries in rural areas, support schoolgirls around the world). Such an amazing act of her,” the post read.

The beauty queen followed the announcement by sharing press event photos with a personal message, saying her mom inspired her to donate the cash. How sweet!

“I highly appreciate the sponsors accompanying me in the community projects. Especially, when I came back from Miss Universe 2018, I could feel deeply your love.

“With the prize award valued at 1,000,000,000 VND from: Nam A Bank, VIFON, Unicorp, Doi Dep…. It is the highest amount of money I got so far. However, my mom said that in case I didn’t have to earn it hard, I should give this money to others,” she wrote on her personal Instagram account.

It isn’t the first time H’Hen has shown the world how kind-hearted and noble she is.

Just this year, she opened a library in the countryside to help children learn how to read, using the money she won from winning Vietnam’s national pageant!

H’Hen contributes to causes such as female empowerment and HIV awareness, and is also a global ambassador for Room to Read, an international organization which “seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in low-income communities by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education.”

She is an inspiration for us all to aspire to make the the world a better place! We are in awe of your beauty and good heart, H’Hen!
