Farmers in particular have been hit the worst as some of them have lost both their homes and their livelihoods. Hay is essential for farmers, as it us used to feed their livestock, but sadly, lots of it was destroyed in the floods.
So Sidney Feed & Supply decided to do something to help their neighbors in the East.

They packed up hay bales, fencing supplies, salt, mineral, livestock feed, vet and medical supplies, dog and cat food, cleaning supplies and more to be sent to those in need!

“Well Cheyenne County, WE DID IT! Over $12,350 worth of hay, fencing supplies, salt, mineral, livestock feed, vet/medical supplies, dog/cat food, cleaning supplies and more are headed to our neighbors to the east who were hit by Nebraska’s flooding,” Sidney Feed & Supply posted on Facebook.
They appealed for help from volunteers and it seems like everyone couldn’t wait to lend a helping hand!

“We asked for your help and our community blew it out of the park! Huge shout out to Sidneys own Geigers’ Construction for volunteering their truck and hauling the load for us! #Nebraskastrong #sidneystrong #neighborshelpingneighbors.”
Selfless people like this are sure to restore your faith in humanity!

“Special, special thanks to our very own Jess Eddy and her mom, Kim Bush! They put in lots of labor and love into this project. The world is a better place because of people like them!”
This group of young children even joined in and loaded trucks with piles of hay bales for the Nebraska flood victims.

“Straight out of track practice, Dalton’s Parish Church Youth Group muscled this load of donated hay that will be added to our trailer headed east to Nebraska’s flood victims! Thank you to Lisa for the awesome donation and to the Youth group for all their hard work! #Nebraskastrong #farmkidsrock,” Sidney Feed & Supply said.
The backs of their trucks were even covered in supportive messages.

“Neighbors helping neighbors,” one sign read.
“East bound! #NebraskaStrong,” another said.
Way to go! We hope all the Nebraska flood victims will be able to stay strong during this tough time.
