Meet the real-life Disney princess Rapunzel, who hasn’t cut her 6ft-long hair in 28 years!

Meet Alena Kravchenko, the real-life Disney princess Rapunzel who hasn’t cut her hair since she was five years old—it’s now 2 meters long!

The 33-year-old mom-of-two from Ukraine looks just like a fairy tale princess with her 6 foot long locks which she hasn’t cut in 28 years.

The secret to her luscious mane? Only washing it once every three weeks! She says shampoo and other products can damage hair.

“I don’t wash it very often, because I think that products are not good for it and can make it thinner and can stunt its growth.

“I like to be natural and the natural oils in your hair are what is best for it and help to preserve its glossiness.”

Alena runs her own business organizing children’s parties by day, but she also dresses up as the Disney princess for events—she’s living the dream!

And when she’s not dressing up as Rapunzel, she likes to tie her gorgeous hair into a bun or plait.

If she doesn’t, she gets loads of attention!

She only trims split ends herself, but never lets anyone else touch her hair.

By the time Alena was in her 20s, her hair reached her waist, then knees.

By her 30s, her locks touched the floor, and she admits she even trips on it sometimes!

“It’s now become a bit of a treat to let my hair down, because it is far more comfortable, as in a bun it can be quite heavy,” she said.

But she will never cut her mane as it is now part of her identity.

“It makes me who I am – a unique woman, who clearly has a lot of dedication to the things she cares about,” she said.

“There really is nothing more beautiful in the world than a woman with natural, flowing hair.”

At least she has something to keep herself warm with this winter!
