What will you do when you have homework that you need to show to your teacher tomorrow, but there’s still a lot more to be done? During our time, we would usually ask our parents for help or just struggle by ourselves to figure it out.
But in this new era of technology and innovation, kids are getting more creative and did things we never have thought of. Just like this 6-year-old boy who needed help to finish his homework. However, instead of going to his mother, this boy named Jariel was apparently caught using Amazon’s smart speaker or popularly known as Alexa to ‘help’ him with his homework.
He might be thinking, can Alexa help me solve this math?

Jariel is doing his homework, but he happened to need some help.
Jariel’s mother, Yerelyn Cueva tweeted a video of her son who is supposed to be doing his math homework without any help.
“Alexa, what’s 5 minus 3?” asked Jariel to the device awaiting its response.
“5 minus 3 equals 2,” answered Alexa.
Jariel turned to Alexa for some help.
Well, there you go! Jariel just got the answer to his homework without even trying!
Looking at this situation, Cueva looked like she’s going to confront her little son at the end of the video.
In disbelief of how ‘smart’ his son in utilizing technology to help him with his homework, Cueva told that she overheard him talking to Alexa from the living room.
“I’m in the living room and I overheard him asking Alexa some math problems, and I could not believe it,” told Cueva.

“What you don’t see (in the video) is after that he says ‘Thank you Alexa for helping me with my homework’. The funny thing is that math is actually his favorite subject.”
“I was surprised because he knows this stuff. He was just being lazy. Taking a shortcut,” added Cueva.
