The poor dog, who was living in heartbreaking and horrific conditions, found a new loving home after his rescuers from the Humane Society of the United States carried out a raid on the New Hampshire property.

What looked like a luxurious mansion from the outside, turned out to be an atrocious puppy mill where the poor pups were being bred for profit, underfed and living in a terrible, unhygienic environment.

Pieces of raw chicken were scattered all over the floor and they weren’t even given any water!

The rescuers found poor terrified Wanda locked up in the owner’s bedroom, and said the 84 Great Danes looked “sad and broken”.

“There were feces and debris smeared across all the walls to the point where the windows were opaque,” Wayne Pacelle, CEO of the Humane Society said.

As soon as Wanda set eyes on his new mom-to-be Morgan, who rescued him, they instantly had a special connection!

“While I was at the shelter, she would watch me, no matter where I was – she would just watch me, watch me, watch me. And all the volunteers would say, ‘You know that she’s your dog, right? She picked you. That’s your dog,’” Morgan said.

Even though Morgan already had a cat a dog at home, and a husband who was preparing for a liver transplant, she couldn’t help but bring Wanda into her family.

And she hasn’t looked back since! She said it was one of the best decisions she has ever made. How sweet!

And now the adorable pair are inseparable—Wanda never leaves his mama’s side! He’s now super healthy and has his shiny coat of fur back.

“I literally spend my whole life caring for animals, and I don’t think I loved an animal on Earth as much as I love her. She’s the best,” Morgan said.

Pass us the tissues, we’re so happy Wanda has found a happy and loving home!
