Being diagnosed with cancer at the tender age of five and his family having to face a mounting debt due to expensive medical treatment, Wang Yan has every reason to give up but the strong-willed boy shows his determination to live another day even when he had to beg for his life.
5-year-old Wang Yan from Heilongjiang, China, suffers from acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a life-threatening condition in which the bone marrow produces an abnormal amount of immature white blood cells.
According to Oriental Daily, upon finding out that their son was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2018, 42-year-old Wang Xiaojiang and his wife put Wang Yan on chemotherapy

Unfortunately, after seven sessions of chemotherapy, Wang Yan’s condition worsened as the doctors told his parents that chemotherapies only worked to defer his death, not to cure his cancer.
As the chemotherapies did not work on Wang Yan and that their family could no longer afford to pay for his medical treatment, Wang Yan’s parents were left with only one option: to take him home.
However, the five-year-old boy was not ready to give up. Desperate for his life, Wang Yan sobbed and clung on his bed as he said, ” Daddy will save me. I don’t want to die. I’m afraid.”

The doctors then came with another alternative; to transfer Wang Yan to another hospital for different treatment but it would cost the parents more than 1 million yuan (US$139,889).
Wang Xiaojiang and his wife later turned to social media as they plead for Chinese netizens’ generosity to raise funds for Wang Yan’s cancer treatment.
Fortunately, they miraculously managed to raise the entire total of Wang Yan’s treatment in just a few hours!

Moved by the kind-hearted netizens who had generously gave donations for Wang Yan’s treatment, the boy’s parents took to social media to express their gratitude.
“The society has been kind to us. We will do our very best to make sure Wang Yan gets better,” they said.
Thanks to the generosity and kindness that the Chinese netizens showed to Wang Yan and his family, hopefully, the boy will be able to beat his cancer and regain his health in no time.
