Two-month old Charly was diagnosed with profound hearing loss when she was born. She had never heard her mother’s voice until she was fitted with hearing aids recently.
Her mother, Christy Keane, shared the video of Charly reacting to her saying ‘I love you’ after she was fitted with hearing aids.
As Christy said ‘I love you’ to Charly, the adorable baby got emotional as she finally got a chance to hear her mother’s voice for the first time.
She may be just two months old but her expression says more than everything; she loves her mother too!
Baby Charly tried to hold back her tears upon hearing her mother’s voice for the first time.
Everything seemed normal when Charly was first born. She was a healthy baby girl but it began when she did not respond to noises and voices. Upon realising this, her parents brought her for a hearing test and the results was terribly devastating; her hearing is impaired and she needs to use hearing aids.
Christy Keane said that none of her and husband’s family members have history of impaired hearing. Nevertheless, she was grateful that Charly is a beautiful and healthy baby girl and being deaf will not stop them to help Charly achieves for the best in her life.
“This is shocking news, but it’s not sad news. This sweet baby is beautiful and healthy and so capable of achieving everything she wants in life and we will make sure that happens!”
“We didn’t think she would hear anything so this was more incredible than I can put in to words. Her journey to implants and language development is off to an amazing start!” Christy said in her Instagram.
