After watching students pay for goods at the campus store, he quickly realized he would have to exchange something to get a doggy treat.

No money? No problem—just use leaves!

The adorable pooch has been living on campus for over five years, and is showered with love, attention and goodies every day.

But one day, he decided he wanted to be a little independent.

He took a leaf he found on the floor in his mouth, and made his way to the campus shop all by himself.

All he wanted was a doggy cookie!

“He would go to the store and watch the children give money and receive something in exchange.

“Then one day, spontaneously, he appeared with a leaf in his mouth, wagging his tail and letting it be known that he wanted a cookie,” teacher Angela Garcia Bernal told the Dodo.

The store owners couldn’t say no to his adorable and irresistible wagging tail and round large eyes.

The cute pooch was rewarded with a yummy goodie, and now he’s a regular customer!

“He comes for cookies every day. He always pays with a leaf. It is his daily purchase,” store owner Gladys Barreto told The Dodo.

What a clever boy!
