Not everyone is lucky enough to be born with a silver spoon in their mouth but that does not stop from one kind-hearted high school student from doing an amazing act of kindness for her classmate.
Using money earned from her first job, Sofi Cruz Turner bought a pair of sneakers for her classmate, Jahiem.
Sofi says her friend Jahiem “has always been that one student where he does all of his work when due, never misses school, always helping the teacher out with stuff in class, and always being a happy human being.”
He hinted that he needed a new pair of shoes and Sofi had been wanting to get him something special. So, she used her newly earned money to buy a pair of sneakers for her classmate
Sofi surprised Jahiem in class one day, hiding the gift inside a backpack as she slowly approached his desk. The teen told Jahiem “I’ve known you for a very long time — since third grade. And you are very special to me.”
“You are a very good friend to me. And, since I got a job, I’ve been thinking about getting something special for somebody, and this is for you,” as she handled the backpack to Jahiem.
Jahiem opened the backpack and he was really touched when he finally realised what was inside the backpack. He was completely overwhelmed by the surprise.
Luckily, the touching moment was caught on camera. The heartwarming video quickly went viral and it has been shared over 500,000 times on Facebook.
